Jewel Personal Hygiene Project
We support underprivileged youth by encouraging health and wellness while denouncing bullying and with Kindness 4 Kids. We are thrilled that you share our vision of empowering, uplifting, and creating a healthy environment for youth. Studies show that children exposed to violence at home tend to participate in higher levels of physical bullying than those who do not. Children who lack or are deprived of basic needs eventually struggle to learn and thrive in the education system, and their future generations risk being trapped in poverty.
Our core value is to assist in educating others about the importance of personal health and wellness, the prevalence of bullying and how we can work together to produce positive outcomes in both areas. Educationand partnership can promote personal health and wellness and bully prevention to produce positive outcomes.

The Need
According to the US Census Bureau, the child poverty rate in America is 16% nationwide as of 2020. This amounts to 11.6 million children living in poverty in the United States. Abused/neglected, foster, homeless and refugee children are often removed from their homes with only the clothes on their backs.

The Affects
Students and their families who are living without access to proper personal hygiene items. This can negatively impact their education and behavioral health and cause an increased risk for certain chronic health conditions.
Lack of access to personal hygiene items can cause a decrease in self-worth, inability to focus during class and increased daily stress.

The Teacher
Teachers across the country are paying for household basics out of their own pocket to give to children and their families. The scale of which teachers are seeing this problem – 63% of primary teachers have seen children turning up in dirty clothes – has resulted in teachers buying not just soap and toothpaste for their students but also in some cases items like washing machines.
